Privacy

You can watch Ballroom Drama without telling us who you are. There is no sign-up and no account.

What the app and the website send us

Short anonymous notes about what happens on screen — for example that a chapter began or ended, or that the offer to unlock a story was shown — together with a random seat number created on your device. On the website we also keep which ad or link brought you here (for example the campaign name), so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. The seat number has no connection to your name or your Apple account, and it disappears when you clear the website data or delete the app. The totals are public on our numbers page.

Swoons

When you swoon over a chapter we store that this seat number swooned over that chapter, so the public counter stays honest.

Payments

In the iPhone app Apple handles every payment. On the website our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, runs the checkout and acts as the seller of record: they process your payment, send your receipt and handle taxes. We receive the email address and order number of the purchase, and use them only to unlock your stories and to restore them on another device. Card numbers never reach us.

Advertising measurement

The website uses the Google Ads tag to learn whether a visit that came from one of our ads led to a purchase. Google may set cookies for this. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland these advertising cookies stay off. You can also block them in your browser settings at any time.

Notifications

Should you agree to notifications in the app, your phone itself keeps the reminders about unsealed chapters. You can silence them from the Notifications page of your iPhone's Settings.

What we never collect

Contacts, photos, location, health data or browsing history. Nothing is sold to anyone.

Age

Ballroom Drama is not meant for children under 13.
